Finite reads population data, places what you entered against it, and draws the result as time you can look at. It does not diagnose and it does not forecast.

The limit, said out loud

Finite cannot know how long you will live. Every figure is a population-based estimate carrying a range, shown so that time becomes perceptible — never so that a date can be named.

Estimates come from population data. Individual outcomes vary widely, and no figure shown here applies to you with certainty. Results change when the model, the data, or your inputs change.

Both rows are read from the same published life table. The band spans the middle half of the population — where a quarter and three quarters had died. The line is the median. None of it is a statement about one person.

The material moves because time moved. Its position is recomputed from the current timestamp, never accumulated frame by frame — closing Finite and returning later shows the correct position.

It will not tell you how long you have left, turn any of these figures into a span of time added to or taken from a life, total them into a single number, or read something you typed as a diagnosis. Those are not settings that have been switched off — the functions that would do them return an explanation instead of an answer.

An influence you have not answered stays blank. It is never assumed to be fine.

Every number in Finite is read from one published life table, cited below. It describes a population in a particular country in a particular year — not you, and not the future. Finite does not diagnose, does not score you, and does not tell anyone when they will die.
