Private, and quiet about it

What Finite keeps, where, and who can see it.

• Private access. Approval-only. Finite opens only for a Google account its owner has approved, and needs a connection to confirm that approval.
• Private sync. Your logged time, weeks, committed time, profile, reflections and preferences sync to your own account and this device. Only you can read them.
• Never in a URL. No personal value appears in a link, a page title or a social preview.
• No analytics. No analytics or advertising code is loaded. Nothing you enter is attached to an event.
• Encryption. Encrypted in transit and at rest by Google Cloud. Finite claims nothing beyond that.
• Deletion. Delete everything erases your account, your cloud copy and this device in one step.

What Finite holds

Kept on this device and in your private account. Nothing is written until you change something.

• Date of birth, height and weight.
• Lifestyle answers: movement, food, tobacco, sleep, alcohol, metabolic health, weight trajectory.
• Committed time: usual work hours per week, sleep per night and other fixed hours.
• Weeks: each week's intention, your estimate of hours per bucket, and when you closed it.
• Reflections: a mood (one of five words), an optional line, or both.
• Display preferences.
• Only fields you actually answer are saved. Untouched fields are not stored or uploaded, not even as blanks.

Logged time

• A timed session is kept only when you end it and confirm where it went. An abandoned session is not kept. Hours you add without a timer are kept when you press Keep.
• Each holds its bucket (Work, Home, Quality time, Fitness, Meditation or Spirituality), start and end, pauses, seconds logged, time zone and an optional one-line note.
• Work time can also hold a subject you named (study lives under Work). Your subject list (names, when added or archived, last length used) is kept with your preferences.
• Stored on this device and in your private account, readable by you alone.
• No streaks, goals, scores or targets. A session is never inferred from anything but your own start and end.

IronCade connection

• Off by default. Nothing is shared until you switch it on in Settings.
• When on: your Fitness and Meditation sessions (times, seconds logged, bucket, note) and your account email are sent to IronCade as activity minutes.
• In return, IronCade's fitness and breathwork minutes are shown in Finite.
• Time in the other four buckets is never sent.
• Switching it off stops both directions. Delete everything removes your sessions and the connection together.

Your account and access

• Finite is approval-only. You sign in with Google and request access.
• The owner sees your name and email on that request and approves or declines it.
• Two short emails, one for the request and one on approval, are sent through the email service Resend.
• The owner can approve, decline or revoke access, but cannot see your profile, answers or reflections.
• Google sign-in gives Finite your email address and basic profile only. Finite cannot read your Gmail, Drive, Contacts, Calendar or anything else.

Stored against your account identifier: the answers you entered, your preferences, your reflections, your committed time and weeks, your logged time, and whether IronCade is on.

Data is held in Google Cloud Firestore. Security rules restrict every document to its one owner, and are tested automatically before each release.

Health information

Some answers are health information. They are treated as the most sensitive thing here.

• Visible only to the account that entered it. No sharing, friends list, leaderboard, community or shared collection of any kind.
• Never sold, licensed, or given to a data broker.
• Never used to target advertising, market medication or supplements, or inform insurance or employment decisions.
• Never sent to a third-party analytics service.
• Never used to train any model.

Finite does not diagnose, predict when anyone will die, or combine your answers into a score. It shows published research beside your answer, with sources.

What Finite never collects

Medical records, medication lists, genetic data, reproductive or psychiatric history, or insurance details.

Deleting your information

• Everything at once. Settings → Delete everything erases your account, cloud data, logged time, weeks, the IronCade connection and this device's copy in one step.
• One reflection. Delete it from Reflections; it is removed from this device and your account.
• By email. Write to the address below and it will be done for you.

Cookies and tracking

No advertising or tracking cookies. Signing in keeps an authentication token in your browser; signing out removes it.

Children

Finite is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 16.

Changes

If what is collected or who can see it changes, this page and the date below will change too.
